The following is out of character.

From the writer of this journal to whoever happens upon this journal and wonders what kind of crack the writer's on:

I've recently become obsessed with Scrubs. I watched the first four seasons over the period of about 5 days thanks to an on-line site that hosts all of the episodes, and at this point, I've watched most of season 5 and 6 too.

After I watched those first four seasons, I scowered the internet for fic and read all that I could, saved icons, and did all the normal overly obsessed fan girly activities. Then I found myself wanting to write fic, but Scrubs comes from such a different world than I'm used to writing so I've found it difficult to just open up a Word document and start right in.

So instead of doing that, I had the idea for this journal. The journal entries will be good practice for future fic and eventually what fic I do write will be posted here. I'd also like to use this journal to role play with JD in pan fandom RPGs (no better way to get into character than role playing).

Disclaimer, again: I do not own Scrubs or JD, obviously. Nor do I claim to actually be JD, he's a fictional character from a tv show. I'm just having fun that's all!

Does JD know that this is LJ and his entries are being read by other people? Yes.

Can I friend this journal? Feel free to do so! I personally would feel honored that you find my writing of JD entertaining enough to friend, and JD of course will love to feel popular.

Can I comment on entries? Sure! And JD will reply. Or I'll try to write a comment back in the way that I think he would respond.

How do the entries work? Where exactly is JD in Scrubs canon? I'm going to write at least one entry for each episode eventually starting with the very first one. Hopefully there will be some entries in between episodes too which could qualify more as fanfic. The subject of the entry will indicate which episode it is written after. I'm not going to try to change the actual date to be accurate so... you'll just have to deal with that.

Are there other characters with journals? Yes! The day I made mine I inspired other users to make their own! Right now there are only two as far as I know (if you make your own character journal for Scrubs let me know and I'll link to it from here.) so_dominican (Carla), notamentor101 (Cox)

How do I see entries about a specific episode or season? All entries are in this LJ's memories under what season they take place during. Also, every entry is tagged with both season and episode name.

Who is this person writing JD? I'm Carissa, my personal LJ is _chibidragon_
